ABSTRACT

OBJECTIVE@#To study the association between maternal alcohol consumption and the risk of congenital heart disease (CHD) in offspring.@*METHODS@#PubMed, Cochrane Library, Web of Science, Google Scholar, China Biology Medicine disc, Wanfang Database, CNKI Database, and Weipu Database were searched for the articles on the association between maternal alcohol consumption and congenital heart disease in offspring. These articles were published up to November 30, 2019. A random effects model or a fixed effects model was used for the pooled analysis of the results of each study, and then the pooled effective value and its 95%CI were calculated. A subgroup analysis was performed to explore heterogeneous regulators. Funnel plots and an Egger's test were used to assess publication bias.@*RESULTS@#A total of 4 409 articles were searched, and 55 articles were finally included in this analysis, among which there were 6 cohort studies and 49 case-control studies. The Meta analysis showed heterogeneity across all studies (I=74%, P<0.01). The random effects model showed that maternal alcohol consumption was associated with CHD in offspring, with an OR of 1.18 (95%CI: 1.09-1.28). The Egger's test showed a certain degree of publication bias (P<0.05), and after adjustment, the pooled OR of CHD in offspring was 1.10 (95%CI: 1.01-1.21).@*CONCLUSIONS@#Maternal alcohol consumption may increase the risk of CHD in offspring.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the status and environment-related risk factors for falls among older adults in the urban community, and to provide evidences for the development of specific interventions. Methods A total of 993 older adults aged ≥60 years old from 2 communities in Cixi City were selected by stratified cluster sampling. Face-to-face interview and field investigation were carried out to collect participants' basic information, the situation and environment-related risk factors for falls occurred to them from November 2012 to October 2013.Results The overall incidence of falls was 14.90%,and it was significantly higher in wowen (17.19%) than in men(12.47%)(P<0.05). There were 109 participants reported to have fall-related injury with an incidence of 10.98%(109/993). Moreover, the incidence of fall-related injury for women(13.87%) was significantly higher than that for men(7.69%)(P<0.05). Among them, 35.14% falls occurred in home, the washroom(93.62%)and drawing room(85.02%) had higher proportion of having falling-related environmental risk factors. The multivariate logistic analysis showed that uneven carpet in aisle (OR=3. 542,95% CI:1.235-10.161)and having clutters beside the bed (OR=8.611,95% CI:2.051-36.574) were two main environmental risk factors for elder falls in home. Conclusion The incidence of falls of older adult in Cixi was 14.90%. Uneven carpet in aisle and having clutters beside the bed were two main environmental risk factors for falls among the elderly at home.

ABSTRACT

Objective To explore the effect and significance of propofol combined with a small dose of butorphanol in anesthesia abortion surgury. Methods Retrospective analysis of 2145 cases of the propofol combined with a small dose of butorphanol on the anesthesia abortion surgery of the anesthesia effect, side effects, anesthesia, surgery time, recovery time, discharge time, cost, etc. Results The excellent rate of narcotic analgesia was 99.9%,the satisfaction rate of the patients was 100%,4.5% incidence of adverse events, mainly body movements and allergies. The average amount of anesthetic propofol was ( 95 ± 15) mg,the butorphanol was 0.6mg;the operative time was (5.4 ±1.6) min,the patients alert in ( 1.8 ± 0.6) min,and discharged from the hospital 0.5 to 1 hour after the surgery. Conclusion The propofol combined with a small dose of butorphanol used in anesthesia abortion surgery has good curative effects, safety, low incidence of side effects, cheap price.

ABSTRACT

Objective To investigate the molecular characteristics of Japanese encephalitis virus (JEV) living in vector mosquitoes, from Zhejiang province. Methods A total of 13620 mosquitoes were collected from the monitoring stations located in Cixi city and Xianju county in Zhejiang province,in July and August,2009-2010.Nucleic acid of JEV from the mosquitoes was monitored by using real-time RT-PCR.The virus strains were isolated with BHK-21 cell line, with E genes of the isolated viruses amplified, sequenced and their phylogeny and homology analyzed. Results The positive rates of JEV for those mosquitoes collected in the stations of Cixi and Xianju were 17.0% (27/159) and 3.4% ( 1/29 ),respectively.Twenty-two JEV strains were isolated, accounted for 15.4% among the 143 batches of mosquitoes collected in 2010.All E genes in the 6 sequenced virus isolates contained 1500 nucleotides encoding 500 amino acids,in which no inserts and deletions were identified. The identity rates of nucleotide and amino acid in E gene were 99.2%-99.8% and 100.0% among the 6 JEV strains isolated from Zhejiang,99.1%-99.3% and 99.2%-99.8% between the Zhejiang strains in 2009-2010 and the Zhejiang strains in 2007-2008,respectively,87.6%-88.0% and 97.8% between the 6 Zhejiang strains and the vaccine strain SA 14-14-2 of JEV,respectively. The phylogeny tree of E gene indicated that the JEV isolates in Zhejiang during 2009-2010 was located in the branch of the genotype Ⅰ.Conclusion Mosquitoes collected from Cixi and Xianju areas carried JEV,with the rate of JEV in Cixi higher than in Xianju. All the Zhejiang isolates in 2009-2010 were proven to be the genotype Ⅰ of JEV.
